PCYM - Principles in Child and Youth Ministry

Did anyone have a perspective for your life? Are you ready to invest into the young generation?
Many children grow up in the western world without having ever heard about Jesus! They are the first descendants of a generation without God. We too, as Christians, often hold children and teenagers captive by not seeing the potential God has given them.

Time is short; let's all act while we still have time. We want to enable children, teenagers and families to be ambassadors for God in all spheres of society as well as everywhere God sends them.

Themes:

National and international speakers will teach on themes like:

• Knowing God's view of children and teenager/ Spiritual capacity of children

• Understanding the different stages of a child's development

• Worship and Intercession geared toward children

• Understanding preschoolers, preteens, and teenagers

• Creative ministry tools

• Counseling children and teenagers

• Family in ministry and linking the generations

• Developing a lifestyle that is effective in ministry toward children, teenagers and families

• Developing your own project or program

• Etc.

General information:

The students stay in 2 up to 6 bed rooms in our YWAM Base in Wiler, Switzerland. 2 hours of practical work per day, worship, intercession, small group, one- on- one, fellowship…etc. are part of the weekly schedule. The course is registered with the University of the Nations (www.uofn.edu), and will be held bilingual English / German.

Outreach:

After the 3 months of the lecture phase, we will become active. For several weeks we will go on outreaches into Switzerland and other nations and put into practice what we have learned.

Date:

The course takes place from April to August.
Next PCYM:
5 April - 9 July 2009 (lecture phase including 2 weeks outreach)
Followed by a 6 weeks outreach

Costs:

CHF 3850.- incl. accommodation, food, school fees and 2 weeks outreach within the 3 months lecture phase.
The cost of the 6 weeks outreach will depend on the specific location.

What is King's Kids?

King's Kids International is a worldwide ministry of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) that functions in partnership with families, churches and other likeminded ministries.
